It is interesting to see how innocent and naïve
babies get excited to see them reflected in mirrors and rush along to
touch and love their own image thinking it as another one in the mirror!
Baby mirrors are known to promote facial recognition of the child. They
are child-safe and are unbreakable. Even, if the glass shatters, the
pieces have smooth edges so that they do not cut through the child's
skin. Thus, while choosing a mirror for an infant room, adequate care
must be taken.
Mirrors come in various shapes and sizes according to the space
available. They can be heart-shapes, rectangular, circular or in other
fantasy designs with colorful frames to boast of. They can be used in
the bathrooms over the sinks to catch the attention of your baby as you
bathe him gently in the infant bath tubs. You may choose from the
various regular shapes like rounded, square, rectangular or the more
funky ones that have colorful frames and animal-face clip-art.
Dressing mirrors and mirrors on the baby armoires and closets look quite
interesting too. You may create a small, private fun-house for little
older babies by mounting the mirrors with wavy surfaces on the wall that
distort the baby's reflection in all sorts of funny shapes and sizes.
Babies' toys with mirrors look quite interesting. Shatter resistant
acrylics are best for babies. They are quite safe and don't break into
pieces if prodded with a sharp object forcefully.
