A baby walker is an enveloping framework fitted with
casters or wheels at the base. Though baby walkers come in a variety of
designs, their primary purpose is to assist a toddler in learning how to
walk properly. Normally parents and family members purchase a suitable
baby walker for their little ones when they are between five and 15
months of age.
Babies generally begin to crawl by the time they are around six months
of age and are very much eager to explore the world on their own.
Providing them with walkers not only makes them walk more steadily and
safely, but also assists them in gallivanting around to their heart's
content. Parents too seem to like baby walkers because they keep an
otherwise fussy baby occupied for hours.
One baby walker, maximum people are familiar with is the one comprising
a classic plastic base, wheeled frame embedded with a simple seat that
has got leg holes to allow the child to scoot across the floor. Apart
from the entertainment this toy provides a child, parents also cite
other reasons for using the baby walker. This baby walker model comes
very cheap in comparison to others.
Common reasons mentioned are that baby walkers encourage children to
walk and simultaneously prove to be a good form of exercise. A lot of
parents consider the first steps baby walker, which is a traditional
wooden baby walker as the best. The handle is fitted with thin
horizontal bars, each separately holding colorful beads, numbers,
alphabets, etc. for the baby. Babies simply need to hold onto the sturdy
handle and start pushing.
Then there's the UFO Baby Walker, which has pivoting wheels and a
modifiable seat with three positions. The baby sits in the centre of
this walker in a kind of cockpit that has twinkling lights, musical
sounds and a horn. However, this type of baby walker should only be used
only when a baby can sit independently. Other varieties include the baby
steps activity walker and so on.
